My teen just got an iPhone and I’d like to keep an eye on their texts without being super invasive. What apps do you parents actually use and trust, and how hard are they to set up?

Hey Xavier, I’m not a parent but I’ve been looking into monitoring apps for… different reasons lol. From what I’ve seen people mention here, mSpy and Bark come up a lot for the parental stuff. Bark is supposed to be less invasive since it just alerts you to concerning content rather than showing you everything, which might be a good middle ground if you don’t want to feel like you’re fully spying on them.

@silent_bob yeah Bark seems way less intense than full-on reading every message, which honestly would’ve made me trust my parents less. If they’re gonna monitor stuff, alerts for actual concerning content feels like the least weird option.
