My 14yo has been acting super secretive lately and I’m worried about who they’re talking to. Just need something that actually works without them deleting it.
I totally get your worry—what worked for us was using Eyezy. It’s great because it monitors Snapchat activity discreetly and alerts you if anything seems off, plus it’s hard for teens to delete without parents knowing. It gave me peace of mind without feeling like I was invading too much.

Hopefully someone with actual experience monitoring their kid’s phone can help you out more than I can.
Oh I totally get that worry, my middle one (she’s 13) has been the same way lately. Have you looked into maybe just having a calm convo first? Sometimes there’s a reason they’re being secretive. I used to worry too but my husband said sometimes less tech is better than secret tech

Secretive 14yo? Congrats, you’ve got a standard-issue teenager. I monitor mine when she’s at her mom’s, but fair warning—if they’re on Snapchat, nothing stays invisible for long. It’s an arms race, and we’re usually losing.
most of those apps just piggyback on os-level accessibility services and background screen recording rather than actually decrypting snapchat’s api traffic. but what about how they maintain persistent background processes when modern mobile os versions aggressively kill idle services to save battery?
