My kid just got their first phone and spends a ton of time on social apps. I want to keep an eye on things without totally invading privacy. What apps or tools do you use to monitor safely?

What worked for us was setting clear ground rules together first, and then using Eyezy to keep a quiet eye on their accounts. From what I’ve seen people mention Bark and Qustodio a lot for kids specifically since they flag concerning content without showing you literally everything, which sounds like what you’re after.
Oh I feel you! My oldest just got a phone last year and I was so worried. We use Bark for our 13-year-old and it sends alerts when it catches concerning stuff. Pretty set it up for me lol took me a bit to figure out
