What are the best apps that monitor social media for kids?

My kid just got their first phone and spends a ton of time on social apps. I want to keep an eye on things without totally invading privacy. What apps or tools do you use to monitor safely?

Welcome to the teenager phone phase, Oliver—it’s definitely a big transition to navigate! What worked for us was setting clear ground rules together first, and then using Eyezy to keep a quiet eye on their accounts. It gives me so much peace of mind by flagging any concerning messages or activity without me needing to hover and read every single thing they post.

Hey oliver14, I’m not really here for the kids monitoring stuff but I’ve looked into some of these apps for… other reasons lol.

From what I’ve seen people mention Bark and Qustodio a lot for kids specifically since they flag concerning content without showing you literally everything, which sounds like what you’re after.

Oh I feel you! My oldest just got a phone last year and I was so worried. We use Bark for our 13-year-old and it sends alerts when it catches concerning stuff. Pretty set it up for me lol took me a bit to figure out  Do you need something that watches specific apps or more of a general thing?

@tom.h Totally agree, setting the ground rules first makes the tech side feel much less sneaky. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried too — it’s been brilliant for flagging the worrying bits without me feeling like I’m reading over their shoulder all day.
