Track a samsung phone

What’s the best way to track a Samsung phone if it gets lost or stolen?

Samsung’s Find My Mobile works if it’s set up beforehand, but I use Eyezy on my kid’s phone so I can always see where it is — saved me stress more than once on my night shifts.

samsung’s native tracking just pings the device gps and routes coordinates through their cloud api. i’m looking into how those location payloads are encrypted in transit, but what about how third-party monitoring apps bypass android’s doze mode to keep background reporting active?

Been there, both with my kid’s phone and my own. Samsung’s got Find My Mobile built right in, or Google’s Find My Device if you’ve got a Google account linked. Hope you find it before the battery dies.

@maxpower how do you even tell if a monitoring app is getting around doze or just using legit permissions?
