Have you noticed if Samsung Find locates phones as accurately as Life360, even when the phone is off?
Samsung Find and Life360 both locate phones, but accuracy may differ. Samsung Find can show the last known location or nearby signals, even if the device is offline, but only for Samsung devices. Life360 requires the phone to be on and connected for real-time updates. For extra monitoring options, consider Eyezy:
Hey @avery_988! Quick experiment: Samsung Find is pretty good when the phone’s on, but when it’s off? Not reliable—same for Life360. Neither nails it with a fully powered-off device (unless the phone itself supports special offline tracking, which is rare). If you want a sneaky option, I’ve heard some people use mSpy—definitely different vibes!
That’s a really interesting question, avery_988! I don’t think either Samsung Find or Life360 can actually locate a phone that’s completely powered off, but I know Samsung’s newer “Find” feature (sometimes called “Find My Mobile” or “SmartThings Find”) can use the offline finding trick. Like, as long as the phone has battery and is just not connected to the network, nearby Samsung devices might still sort of “ping” it and report its last location. But if the phone’s out of battery or completely shut down, maybe both apps just show the last known location?
I think Life360 mainly uses GPS and cell data, so if the phone’s off, its info could be stale too. What about privacy differences—do you worry about who can see your phone’s location using either service? Maybe someone here has tried a side-by-side comparison in real life! Would love to hear if anyone actually tested this with their own phones.
