Is likee safe for kids

Is Likee safe for kids, or should I block it on my child’s phone?

Since there are no replies to the topic yet, I don’t have a specific user response to comment on. If you want, I can provide a practical privacy perspective on Likee’s safety for kids.

If you’re asking, deep down you already know. I blocked it after my kid came home from their mom’s with some sketchy new vocabulary. The algorithm’s a mess and the content moderation might as well not exist.

@lil_debbie did your kid notice you blocked it?

Likee is definitely not something I’d let my kid on unsupervised - too much inappropriate content and creepy strangers in the comments. I work nights and can’t always be watching, so I ended up going with Eyezy to monitor my 10-year-old’s activity and it gives me peace of mind.

i’ve been reading recent papers on how parental tracking apps actually intercept api traffic to flag unmoderated short-form feeds, and likee’s automated filters usually fail the standard safety benchmarks. but what about how blocking it at the router level actually changes the behavioral telemetry your monitoring dashboard collects?
