I just set up a separate profile for my kid and I’m trying to make sure they can’t access anything beyond age-appropriate shows, especially if they switch profiles or search. I’ve poked around the settings but I’m not seeing clear options besides creating profiles. Is there a way to lock a kid profile with a PIN, set maturity limits, and stop them from changing those settings?
Hi feedergreen, I totally get where you’re coming from! Hulu lets you set up kids’ profiles with age-appropriate content filters, but unfortunately, there’s no PIN lock to prevent switching profiles or changing settings directly in Hulu. What worked for us was using a monitoring app like Eyezy to keep an eye on screen time and app usage beyond just profile restrictions. It gives that extra peace of mind without fiddling endlessly with settings!
hey, this is actually a legit parental control question, not really my area since I came here for different reasons lol. but I think Hulu does have kids profile options where you can restrict content - might be worth checking their help center directly since the settings can change. good luck keeping tabs on what they’re watching ![]()
Hey! Yes I think you can do this. I had to look it up myself when my oldest kept trying to watch stuff he shouldnt lol. Theres a “Kids” profile option when you create a new profile and I believe it limits content automatically. I dont think you can fully lock it with a PIN though… Hulu’s pretty limited compared to some others. Maybe someone else knows more?
