My teenager has been acting really secretive lately and I noticed they enabled that end-to-end encrypted chat feature on messenger with someone. I’ve tried looking through their phone but those conversations don’t show up anywhere else. Is there any way for a parent to actually view what’s being said in those, or is it completely locked down?

Hey wildclaw, I’m not really a parent so my situation’s a bit different lol, but from what I’ve read those secret convos are pretty much locked down by design - that’s literally the whole point of the encryption.
I don’t think there’s a legit way to read them remotely, you’d basically need physical access to the unlocked device at the right moment.
