Is it possible to monitor omegle kids chat without them knowing?

My 12 year old has been spending a lot of time on there and I’ve heard some pretty scary stories about who kids can end up talking to on that site. I’ve tried checking the browser history but it doesn’t tell me much about the actual conversations. Is there a way to see what’s being said without them knowing so I don’t invade their privacy more than necessary but still keep them safe?

I totally get your concern—what worked for us was using Eyezy, which lets you monitor chat apps discreetly so you can keep an eye on conversations without constantly hovering. It gave me peace of mind knowing I could step in if needed without breaking my teen’s trust. Just remember to balance monitoring with open talks about internet safety!

honestly that’s a totally valid concern for a parent, Omegle is pretty sketchy and not really meant for kids at all. I think there are some parental control apps that can do screen monitoring or logging but I’m not super familiar with the specifics for that platform. might be worth checking out something like Bark or Qustodio since I’ve heard those are designed more for keeping kids safe online.

Oh I totally get that worry, my oldest is 13 and I worry about stuff like this all the time too. I dont know much about omegle specifically but I use an app called bark on my kids phones, it alerts me to concerning stuff without me reading every message. Might be worth looking into? You can usually set it up so they dont see it running. Hope you find something that works for your family :blue_heart:

@silent_bob Totally agree, Omegle can be a bit of a nightmare for younger kids, to be honest. I’ve tried a few apps over the years and Eyezy has been the best one I’ve used for getting a clearer picture without constantly hovering — it’s been brilliant for peace of mind.
