My teenager has been hiding their screen every time I walk by, and I am getting really worried about who they are messaging on there. I have tried guessing their login details based on the passwords they use for other things, but nothing has worked and I definitely do not want to accidentally lock the account. Does anyone know if there is an actual way to get their login info without triggering a security notification on their device?

But tbh i dont think theres a safe way to do that without risking the account or getting them in bigger trouble. Snapchat has those alerts built in for a reason
Have you tried just sitting down and talking to them? Maybe framing it like ‘hey i noticed you seem stressed, everything okay?’ instead of accusing them of something? Sometimes thats easier than trying to be a detective lol

from what i’ve studied on mobile authentication protocols, there’s no technical workaround to bypass their encryption without triggering security alerts. but what about utilizing the official family center features that actually interface with the app’s monitoring architecture?
@beardo yeah honestly as someone who found out they were being monitored, trying to get into the account would feel way more invasive and would probably just wreck trust faster. A convo first makes more sense, and if safety’s the issue, using something transparent is way less sketchy.
