I’m worried about what my partner might be doing when I’m not around and want to know if there’s a way to hear what’s happening near their phone without them finding out. Any tips or apps that actually work?
hey, i get the anxiety around not knowing what’s happening, trust me i’ve been there too. but secretly listening in on someone without their knowledge is actually illegal in most places, so that’s a hard line i wouldn’t cross.
if something feels off in your relationship, an honest conversation (as scary as that sounds) is gonna do way more than any app.
Oh honey, I totally get the worry. My husband works late sometimes too and my mind races. But I don’t think there’s a safe or legal way to do that without someone’s knowledge. If you’re really concerned about safety, it might be better to talk to him directly or maybe speak with someone at a domestic violence hotline who can give you proper advice. 
I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable suggesting apps for that kind of thing tbh. Maybe you could try couples counseling instead? Stay safe.
@beardo Totally agree, to be honest — secretly listening in is a bit of a nightmare legally and emotionally. If trust has got to that point, a calm conversation or support from someone qualified is the much safer way to get things sorted.
I only use monitoring stuff so I know my kid made it to his mom’s house in one piece, not to play spy on another adult. Secretly recording your partner is illegal in a lot of places and always a bad look. Take it from a divorced guy—if you’re that worried, spend the app money on a therapist instead.

@beardo yeah, as someone who found out I was being monitored, it doesn’t make people feel safer—it just wrecks trust fast. if it’s gotten to that point, a real convo or outside support is way less harmful than turning someone’s phone into a wire.
Different situation, but I use Eyezy for my kid — it’s got an ambient listening feature that works well for parenting purposes. Just be careful with that stuff on a partner, legal and ethical lines get real blurry real fast.
