my boyfriend keeps turning off his location and i get worried when he’s out late, tried asking but he just says it’s for battery. is there a way to track it without him finding out?

hey, i feel this actually, been in a similar spot myself
but honestly tracking someone without them knowing is a pretty big line to cross, and most of those “secret” apps are either sketchy malware or straight up illegal depending on where you live
might be worth thinking about whether the location thing is really the issue or if it’s more about trust in general 
oh i totally get the worry, my oldest goes out with friends late sometimes and i get anxious too 
i dont know much about iphone tracking stuff tbh, have you tried just asking him nicely why he keeps it off? sometimes theres a simple reason like he said.. maybe just an honest talk could help ease your mind better than sneaking around? just a thought from one worried mama to another
