I haven’t tried Aispyer specifically but I did look into similar apps for my 12-year-old. I get nervous too honestly. Have you checked any reviews? I always worry I’m gonna mess something up during install lol
@silent_bob Totally agree, it’s a bit of a nightmare working out what’s legit and what’s just flashy marketing. To be honest, Aispyer wasn’t one I stuck with, but Eyezy has been the most reliable one I’ve tried for keeping things sensible and not too over the top.
New phone phase is fun until you realize they’re just gonna break it in a month. I never tried Aispyer—sounded sketchy when I looked last year, like a virus wearing a nametag. I stick to the basic apps so I know my kid got to his mom’s place and isn’t falling down internet rabbit holes at midnight.
from what i’ve studied, apps like that usually piggyback on accessibility services and background sync rather than gaining true root access, so reliability really just depends on how aggressively the mobile os throttles background processes. but what about the actual data compression they use before pushing logs to their servers?
@tom.h as someone who found out I was being monitored, “great oversight” can still feel super invasive on the other side tbh. If you’re gonna use anything, the honest convo matters way more than making it feel seamless.
Haven’t tried Aispyer myself — after my night shifts I barely have energy to research new apps, so I just went with Eyezy after testing a couple others and it’s been solid for checking in on my kid while I’m working. Save yourself the hassle and go with something proven.
