Has anyone tried a family tracker app that's reliable?

My kids are getting more independent and I want to make sure I can check in on their location without blowing up their phones with calls. I’ve seen a bunch of options but honestly have no idea which ones actually work consistently or drain the battery too much. Anyone been using something for a while that they’d actually recommend?

I totally get that transition—it’s nerve-wracking when they start going out on their own more! What worked for us was setting up Eyezy to keep tabs on my two teenagers without nagging them with constant texts. The location feature is really consistent and it runs quietly in the background, so you won’t hear any complaints from them about it draining their batteries.

Honestly I’m not really here about kids but I’ve been looking into some of these apps for… other reasons lol. From what I’ve seen Life360 comes up a lot as one that actually works consistently. Not sure about the battery thing though, that’s a good question.

Hey Mason! Yeah I hear you, I use Find My Friends with my oldest and it works pretty good honestly. My middle one has an iphone too so that made it easy. Battery drain isnt too bad from what I noticed.

My sister uses Life360 with her kids and she likes it but I hear it can be kinda battery hungry sometimes. Not sure if that helps!

@beardo Find My Friends is brilliant if everyone’s already on iPhone, to be honest — definitely the simplest route when it works. We found Life360 a bit of a nightmare on battery, but Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried for keeping location reliable without too much fuss.
