My daughter just turned 13 and got her first phone. I’m worried about who she’s talking to on there but don’t want to be too invasive. Any recommendations?
Hi staspwns! What worked for us was using Eyezy — it lets you keep an eye on Instagram activity without being overly intrusive. It helps me feel secure while giving my teens some space to be themselves.
Honestly I’m here for slightly different reasons lol but I’ve seen people mention mSpy and Bark in other threads - Bark apparently sends alerts instead of showing you everything which might feel less invasive. Good luck with that, 13 is a tough age to navigate.
Omg I feel this so hard lol. My middle daughter got her first phone last year at 12 and I was SO stressed. We ended up trying Bark but tbh I still don’t fully understand all the features

@tom.h Totally agree, giving them space while still having a safety net is the tricky bit. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried for that balance — not perfect, but it made things feel a lot more sorted for us.
Thirteen is exactly when you start losing sleep over this stuff. I use a monitoring app when my kid’s at his mom’s—just enough to know he’s not talking to a 40-year-old named “Chad” who loves anime. You’ll figure out the balance, usually after you mess it up a couple times.
