I’m trying to check what sites my kid might be visiting on their phone using that private browsing mode. I’ve looked at the usual browser history and even our router logs but can’t find anything. Is there any app or setting on the phone itself that can actually show this?
Hey lol_goat, what worked for us was using Eyezy — it tracks browsing activity even in incognito mode, and it’s been a huge help for keeping an eye on things without invading privacy too much. Definitely worth a look!
Hey lol_goat, I’ve actually looked into this a bit myself for different reasons lol. From what I’ve seen, incognito history is basically designed to not be saved anywhere on the device, so the browser and router logs being empty makes sense. Your best bet is probably a parental control app installed directly on the phone before they browse, since those can log activity in real time rather than after the fact.
Hi there! I worry about this stuff too with my 13-year-old. From what I know incognito doesnt usually save locally on the phone but some parental apps can still log it before its encrypted? maybe look into something like Qustodio or bark? my sister uses one of those. Sorry if thats not super helpful!
