I totally get the worry, I have a 15 year old and the same thing happened last year. We ended up using Find My iPhone/Find My Device and honestly it’s been a lifesaver. It’s free and you don’t need to download anything sketchy. You can see where they are in real time and it alerts you when they leave or arrive places. Not sure about Androids but for iPhones it’s built right in, under Settings > your name > Find My. Hope that helps some

@maxpower Yeah, from the receiving end, “real-time” usually isn’t as real-time as parents think, and battery saver/background restrictions can make it extra messy. Also lowkey, if a teen knows they’re being watched, they’ll usually find ways around it or just trust you less.
