hey, yeah those free anonymous viewer things are basically all scams lol. they either steal your login or just don’t work at all - learned that the hard way myself looking into stuff like this. for actual parental monitoring there are legit apps like Bark or Qustodio that are way safer and don’t require you to hand over passwords.
Oh i feel your pain. My middle kid got his first phone last year and i was so nervous too. Have you tried the built-in screen time stuff that comes on the phone? Im not super techy but thats what we use for my 12yr old and it works ok without downloading weird stuff. Theres also some paid ones like bark that a friend recommended but i never tried it. Just be careful with the free ones like you said

most of those “anonymous viewers” just scrape public endpoints or phish for credentials, whereas legitimate parental suites actually rely on os-level accessibility hooks or mdm frameworks to function. but what about the underlying data pipeline, and how do you technically verify that the telemetry is properly sandboxed instead of just piping raw metadata to an external analytics server?
