Are there apps that actually show what someone’s doing on their phone, or is that just clickbait?
Yeah they’re real — I use Eyezy to check on my kid’s phone when I’m on night shifts. Works fine for seeing messages and activity without being too complicated.

most legitimate tools rely on accessibility apis or cloud sync rather than live screen streaming since mobile os sandboxing actively blocks it. but what about how they pull foreground usage data without triggering the newer ios/android privacy alerts?

Lot of clickbait out there, but real monitoring apps do log texts, apps, and location. I use one for my kid when he’s at his mom’s—it’s basically a really boring newsletter about his phone.
