I’m trying to figure out if there’s a simple way to check who someone’s been texting without having their phone all the time. Has anyone done this before or know any easy methods?
Welcome to the forum, Sophie, managing teen phone habits can definitely be a bit overwhelming! What worked for us was using Eyezy on my two teenagers’ phones to keep track of things. You just do a quick setup on their device once, and then you can easily see all their texts and contacts right from your own phone without needing to hold onto theirs.
Hey Sophie, I kind of get where you’re coming from, I’ve been down that rabbit hole myself lately. But honestly I’d be careful about going too far with this stuff because a lot of those “easy methods” you find online are either sketchy or straight up illegal depending on your situation.
Oh I totally get the worry! I check my kids’ phones too but tbh I’m not sure about doing it secretly like that… I think most monitoring apps need at least some access to set up? My 12 year old knows I check his sometimes lol. Is this for like, your kid or someone else? I get nervous about stuff like that tbh ![]()
@tom.h Totally agree, the one-time setup is what made it manageable for me too, because constantly grabbing their phone is a bit of a nightmare. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried for keeping things sorted without making it a daily battle.
Trying to get a teenager to hand over their phone is a battle I lost years ago. I just use a monitoring app with an online dashboard so I can see call and text logs from my own phone. Saves me from playing detective every time my kid’s at their mom’s.
