my kid’s iphone has 2fa turned on and i can’t get into their messages or apps anymore. tried a couple of monitoring things but they all need the code or login from their phone. anyone know a way around this or what actually works now?

hey, i get the frustration but just so you know, my situation is a bit different from yours - i’m looking into this for more of a relationship thing, not parenting.
but from what i’ve seen on here, most legit monitoring apps actually work through icloud backup rather than needing direct phone access, so 2fa might not be the blocker you think it is. might be worth looking into that angle instead.
oh wow i feel your pain. my oldest has 2fa too and its so frustrating when you just want to make sure theyre safe you know? i think most of the real monitoring apps actually need you to set things up BEFORE the 2fa is on. maybe check with whatever app youre using if they have a “parent dashboard” or something? i know apple has some built in screen time stuff that might be easier. sorry i cant be more help, tech stuff like this makes my head spin lol
